This photograph shows the High School soon after it was rebuilt in 1910 due to a fire which destroyed the original wooden building. Palmerston North High School was established 1902, the first secondary school for boys and girls in Palmerston North. In 1919 it became Palmerston North Boys High School when a separate Girls High School was established.
