Whakarongo ‘Bridge to Nowhere”. The last remnant of the Whakarongo Deviation, the unused railway bridge/ culvert, behind 29 Kelvin Grove Road… As at April 1999 and after some debate, it is fated to be preserved as a lawn ornament. ‘A Time of Transition’ by Val Burr, page 22.
