This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 13 January, 1964. "This photograph shows part of the open-air chapel at the Y.M.C.A. Camp at Pohangina. The camp director (Mr C. Woods) stands beside the giant totara tree at the back of the Altar in order to give an indication of its size. A Cross, yet to be constructed, will be affixed to the trunk of the tree."
