Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 8 January, 1964. "What must be one of the most beautiful scenic attractions in the Manawatu is the Pohangina Valley. Fortunate enough to have a reasonably good day, a "Manawatu Standard" photographer captured this scene, overlooking the river towards the Y.M.C.A. boys' camp."
