Description

This building is seen just before demolition in 1934. In 1935, the Civic Building was built on this site between the Kosy Theatre and the Post Office. The Kosy Theatre ceased operation in 1943. The front was removed and the Vogue Building was constructed, leaving only the rear portion of The Kosy standing. The theatre then became known as The Vogue and continued until 1956 when the theatre closed, because it was uneconomic to convert the theatre to use the wide screen that had become so popular with patrons.
