Currie Bros of Ashhurst, described themselves as "The Farmers' Transporters" in an advertisement that appeared in the Manawatū Evening Standard, 2 November 1934. A later advertisement stated that their "fleet of BRITISH THORNYCROFTS is in the best of fettle to again meet all calls" (ES, 5 November 1936).
