Taken from the railway line that ran down the centre of Main Street, this photograph shows the 'new' (1905) Palmerston North Post Office with clock tower, and the old Post Office, moved back to sit behind the new building on Main Street. The vehicles outside the "Licensed Victuallers Association" office are awaiting separate orders before starting out.
