This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 28 July 1961 "Carriers have a friendly word with Red Cross workers after loading a number of cases of clothing for the needy in Hong Kong. Miss L. Wimsett, the secretary of the Manawatu Centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society, points out the destination of the cases before they left the society's rooms in Cuba Street yesterday."
