Mrs A S Aldrich is seated on left, in the drawing room of “Matsubara” the Aldrich family property. The “Matsubara Homestead” of Mr G H Aldrich was located two miles out of Bunnythorpe, on the Bunnythorpe – Ashhurst Road. The homestead was built about 1888 and destroyed by a fire in the late 1910s.
