Felix Strafford established a coach building business in 1882,which was later sold to John Bett. The original building burnt down in 1894 and was subsquently rebuilt facing Rangitikei Street, with access from Cuba Street. The business ceased opeations c1920. This sign was discovered when the building was being demolished in Cuba Street.
