Major G G Hancox was appointed director of Palmerston North Technical School in 1924 and kept the position until 1938. Major Hancox was in charge of the Technical School Cadet Corps in 1928. Major Hancox is wearing the same uniform here as he did when in charge of the cadet corps; indicating he was not in the regular army but a major of the cadet corps.
