Dear Sir,
VICTORY LOAN.
The National Conference was held last week in Wellington and you
are cordially invited to attend the Manawatu District Conference on
MONDAY, next 7th August, 10.30 a.m. in the Chamber of Commerce
Room, A. M. P. Building, Broadway.
We had to alter it from Tuesday to Monday, when we discovered two
counties, Manawatu and Kairanga were holding their monthly meetings
on the Tuesday.
May we say, meantime, the Dominion preparations as disclosed at
the Conference are very comprehensive indeed, and these will be thoroughly
detailed by our delegates who attended; whilst Mr. R.W. Cox, Deputy
Chief Accountant of the Reserve Bank and Secretary War Loans Committee
will address the Conference and discuss all questions you submit.
FULL REPRESENTATION: The N.Z. Conference in Wellington, attended
by over 100 delegates, representing the 20 districts, was information and
inspiring, and it is our desire that our local conference have a similar
character.
May we suggest therefore, to the County Council Chairmen, they
endeavour to bring a representative Councillor from each of their several
ridings, also their County Clerk, to get the full information etc.,
at first hand. The Mayors of the respective towns are also invited to
bring other influential representatives as well.
Anticipating the pleasure of seeing a full representation from your
area, and if you can advise the Secretary beforehand who will be coming
we shall be glad.
Yours faithfully,
A. E. MANSFORD, Chairman.
R. O. HADDON, Secretary.
