This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29 February, 1964. "This motor-cycle belongs to Mr. Kevin John Hill, now seriously ill with multiple head injuries at Palmerston North Hospital. Mr. Hill, a 24-year-old Regular New Zealand Army sapper based at Linton Camp, was travelling towards Palmerston North when the accident happened this morning. Police believe Hill lost control of his machine (report page 12)."
