This image was not published in the Manawatu Evening Standard, taken on 17 February, 1964. "No one was injured when these two cars collided on the corner of the Square and Fitzherbert Avenue at about 2 o'clock this afternoon. The small car was from Taranaki and contained several young holiday-makers. The other car was a local one." Another image of the accident was published on 15 February, 1964.
