Trevor de Cleene (c1930s-2001), barrister and solicitor, was also a Palmerston North City Councillor for three periods between 1962-1976 and Member of Parliament for Palmerston North 1981-1990. He married Gwenda Taylor in 1962 and had 3 children, Catherine, David and William. In 1982 he married Raewyn Watt. The photograph of De Cleene appearing for the defence in a murder trial was published in the Manawatu Evening Standard 5 July 1981.
