The Dugald MacKenzie Rose Garden was opened in 1968. D. C. MacKenzie was Superintendent of Parks and Reserves from 1946 to 1966. In this photograph, Mr N.H. Funnell is building a raised platform to give visitor s a better a view of the garden.
