This postcard is looks across The Square from the corner of Church Street West to Main Street East. Note that the image was made before The Lakelet had been constructed. It would be dug where the path crosses in front of the Observatory. This domed structure was built in 1906 and demolished in 1938 after vandalism and light pollution from the growing city diminished its use.
