This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29 July, 1959. "Mr and Mrs N. E. Jennings, with two of their six children, Marion and David, stand against the background of their house which was destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. The family have taken their loss philosophically, and plan to build their new home on the burned out site."
