Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 1 February, 1964. "These two workmen on the narrow ledge on top of the Bank of New Zealand building at the corner of the Square and Rangitikei Street take a breather from their demolition work. The top is being lowered by several feet. The two, Mr A. Morris (left) and Mr R. S. Stevens, have a head for heights--especially as the view they have over the edge is that seen in the lower picture."
