A celebration, put on by Management, was held at the Rosco tearooms to celebrate Sylvia Haycock working 50 years for C M Ross Co. Ltd. The occasion included presentations and entertainment put on by members of the staff. C M Ross Co. Ltd was one of the foremost department stores of Palmerston North and operated in The Square from 1883 until it was sold to Milne and Choyce in 1959.
