This image was not published in The Manawatu Evening Standard, taken on 17 February, 1964. "After a 7 1/2-hour non-stop slight from Guam on Saturday these six Thunderchief pilots were pleased to touch down at the R.N.Z.A.F. Station at Ohakea on Saturday. They are, from the left: Back row, B. Craig, the commander of the 18th Tactical Fighter Wing (Colonel G. B. Simler), D. C. Wood; front row, B. Bush, W. M. Dalton, D. Thompson." Another image of the group was published on 17 February, 1964.
