Description

Mina McKenzie was born in Palmerston North and attended Whanganui Girls College. She studied zoology, geology and chemistry at Otago University 1948 - 1950 and Massey University in 1963. Mrs McKenzie joined the Museum Council in 1972 and worked full time at the Manawatū Museum (later part of Te Manawa) from June 1974 until she retired to work on other projects in 1994.
