William Smith's brickyard stood on the eastern side of Alexandra Street (later Victoria Ave), Palmerston North, near the Church Street corner, on the site of what is now Tiraumea Place. This view shows the drying sheds, horse driven mixer and horses and carts for delivering the bricks. William Smith is possibly the gentleman 4th from right with beard and hat.
