This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 30 August 1960 "Two Dakotas and two Devons of the No. 42 Squadron flying over the Awapuni Racecourse during the formation practice yesterday. The Dakota at the head of the formation is piloted by the Commanding Officer (Squadron Leader T.J. Danaher). This aircraft is known as the V.I.P. Dakota and is the one which carried the Queen during her tour of the Dominion."
