This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29 August 1960 "Flying in box formation these 12 (of the 13) aircraft of No. 42 Squadron make an impressive sight as they flew over the control tower at Ohakea. Thirteen aircraft of No. 42 Squadron of the R.N.Z.A.F. representing 100 tons in weight, gave the public of Wanganui, Marton, Feilding and Palmerston North an impressive display of precision formation flying this morning."
