This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 12 May 1961 "Three diehard Rugby enthusiasts shared a joke before one of them, the All Black manager, Mr. T.H. Pearce (on the left), addressed Manawatu Rugby enthusiasts at the Boys' High School assembly hall in Palmerston North last night. In the centre is Mr. G.A. Brown, for many years a leading Rugby administrator here and a former New Zealand president, and on the right is another local Rugby figure, a former Manawatu Union president, Mr. T.L. Arnott."
