Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 27 February, 1964. "As in all parts of the Dominion, there is an ever-growing demand for more and more school buildings. Palmerston North is certainly no exception. To partly satisfy this demand at the Palmerston North Boys' High School, work is well underway with the construction of a new block to house a further eight classrooms. When completed they will help to reduce present overcrowded schoolrooms. Workmen are seen putting the finishing touches to the foundations."
