This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 26th January 1966 "Mr. R.H. Stott, chief report of the "Manawatu Standard", who has been awarded a Commonwealth Press Union Fellowship to spend five months in Britain from May this year. Mr. Stott, whose special interest is in railways, hopes to study the effect of the Beeching reorganisation of British Railways and its relevance to railway operation in New Zealand.
