The PDC (Premier Department Company) was one of the foremost department stores in Palmerston North. It was on the corner of The Square, where the Plaza is today.
These poems were written by Zeta Hope, a former employee of the department store, about the business and the creation of the Plaza.

Talk is about the archives, and the Consumers' Co-Operative Society (Manawatu) Ltd and their records which are donated to the City Archives. Speakers include Ian Matheson (archivist), Barry Parker (Board Chairman of the Co-Op), Paul Rieger (Mayor of Palmerston North), and Margaret Tate (lecturer at the College of Education) who introduces a video on the history of Palmerston North.At this meeting Barry Parker also handed a cheque to the Mayor for the preservation of the Co-Op archives.
