This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 20th February 1963. "These railway employees, Messrs J. Aldridge (surfaceman, left), L. Mudgway (plant operator) and H. H. Dyson (ganger, right), have a long way to go. They are seen spreading metal chips the hard way in the new railway yards at Palmerston North."
