Journalist Tina White's weekly "Memory Lane" article in the Manawatū Standard. Article about the earliest European families who lived on Milson's Line. Robert Milson, after whom today's Milson area is named, purchased 173 acres on Milson Line for farming in 1876. A significant homestead, named Edinkillie, was built in 1908 for the McKenzie family. In later years, this homestead at 101 Milson Line became the Sheraton Restaurant, later named the Sheraton El Burcio Restaurant. The building was removed in 2010.
