Description

The opening of the Reikiorangi Skimming Station, near Waikanae was located adjacent to the Post Office site and from here cream was sent from Otaki by horse transport to Waikanae and then by train to Otaki. Back Row: second from left is Alf Monk with the white beard. Front Row: third from right is Byron Brown of Otaki; Fourth from left is R Stubbings who went to Reikiorangi in 1895.
