Salamander is the Freyberg High School Yearbook. It has been published annually since the school opened in 1955. The yearbook is named in honour of Sir Bernard "Tiny" Cyril Freyberg, who Winston Churchill described as the ‘salamander’ of the British Empire during World War Two.
