This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 5th January, 1963. "There were certainly six boys in the boat, but one was so shy, despite the pleas of his friends, that he would not face the camera. The boys were busy patching a small hole in their boat at the lagoon yesterday and were hoping to catch some eels."
