Cyril Carle holds a facsimile copy of Pahiatua’s first newspaper at the time of the Pahiatua centennial celebrations from February 28 – March 7, 1981. The Pahiatua Star and Eketahuna Advertiser was published twice weekly from 1886 to 1893.He is holding Volume 2, Issue 1 from June 11. The year is illegible.
