"Governor-General at Grasslands"
- Description
This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 1 October, 1959. "The Governor-General (Lord Cobham) was an interested spectator at the Grasslands Division this morning. He is shown here watching the mixing, from the power take-off of a tractor, fat from a fish-and-chips shop which, as an anti-foaming agent, has prevented bloat in cattle when sprayed daily on heavy clover pastures. From left to right are: Dr P. D.Sears, director of the Grasslands Division; the Governor-General; Dr A. T. Johns; Dr J. Mitchell; and the Governor-General's aide-de-camp (Captain P. N. Erskine)."
