Alterations and Additions to the Coronation Hall, Terrace End

Description: Built as a Public Hall in 1911 to mark the Coronation of George V, it served as such for the next 50 years. The hall was renovated and modernised in 1939 at a cost of £496. The Terrace End Development and Progressive Association held a concert on 6 December 1939, to celebrate the completion of these renovations. In 1962 the Coronation Hall was bought by the Palmerston North Little Theatre Society (later Manawatū Theatre Society) to became a playhouse. In 1996 it was bought by Douglas and Moana Hann, who renovated the building into a home. As of 2014, it is the premises of a painting and decoration business.
