This image was published in an article in the Manawatū Daily Times on 7 December, 1962. "With the surging thrust from four British Olympus engines, the last of three R.A.F Vulcan nuclear bombers hurtles skyward over the end of the runway at R.N.Z.A.F. Station Ohakea yesterday morning on its way to Page Page in Eastern (American) Samoa. The aircraft has been in New Zealand four days and are hearing back to England."
