This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 06 February 1958, page 12: "Lynne McDonald who is six years of age, has after only 14 months training in Highland dancing, won 12 cups and 40 medals see in this photograph. Lynne is very keen on all aspects of this type of dancing. She was placed the first time she appeared and has never looked back."
