This photograph shows the staff of the Kiwi Bacon Factory outside the factory at Longburn, by the Longburn Freezing Works. Identified: Herbert (Herb) Kersel (centre group of men, hands in apron); Roy Kersel (obscured by light patch in photograph); Denis (Den or Denny) O'Keefe (in truck). Denis O'Keefe drove this truck for many years, to Wellington and back to Longburn. When he retired from driving, he became a storeman in the factory and eventually became the office man. He married Thelma Kersel, sister of Herb and Roy Kersel.
