Buick and Young's premises in the Elizabeth Building were built c1892. Men, women and youth staff members of Buick and Young are standing in front of the business premises. In the same building, to the left, is the office of the Farmer's Union and W Hunter, Manufacturer's Agent. W Hunter was the secretary of the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Farmer's Union, and was resident in Palmerston North.
