This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 12 September, 1959. "A fine Saturday morning and a job of work to do. But the job became complicated when the rope binding came undone and 24 bales of paper crashed to the roadway. The driver of the truck appeared unconcerned as he waited in the sunshine for assistance to replace the load."
