This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 04 May 1961 "Mr. R.M. Brill was this morning flummoxed by a fluttering fowl which decided that it had an aversion to being frozen. The bird made a frantic bid for freedom in Princess Street, causing Mr. Brill to assume a rather ungainly angle to effect a capture. Held fast by Mr. Brill. the wayward bird was soon returned to its case."
