Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 27 April 1961 "The city ranger, Mr. T.W. Swensson, of 56 Albert Street, has an unusual combination in his backyard -- a cat mothering two bull terrier pups and three kittens. The animals were given to him to be destroyed, but Mr. Swensson changed his mind and now they are one happy family. The pups were born on March 20 and are about six weeks old."
