William Thorrold-Jaggard (1914-2006) was an architect in Palmerston North 1939-1982. On completing his qualification in 1939 he joined his father, Reginald Thorrold-Jaggard, in partnership. After Reginald’s death William joined the building firm Burdell & Co., supervising the construction of the library and three science buildings at Massey University and Palmerston North Teachers’ College. When the building firm was liquidated he joined Gilman, Garry, Clapp and Sayers, Hamilton architects,and acted as Supervisor on the construction of the clinical block at the Palmerston North Public Hospital. He retired in 1982. William served in WWII. He married and had three daughters and a son.
