This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 21st March, 1963. "Yet another record to Miss Vivien Haddon (centre) of the Freyberg High School. At the North Island secondary school swimming championships held in Palmerston North on Saturday Miss Haddon broke the record by 2sec, making the time 2min. 59sec."
