The ice cream factory of United Dairy Foods (NZ) Ltd was situated at the former dairy factory at Tokomaru. The factory produced New American ice cream and Manda ice cream. United Dairy Foods (NZ) Ltd bought the factory from the Manawatu Co-operative Dairy Company.
