Journalist Tina White's weekly "Memory Lane" article in the Manawatū Standard. Women in the 1930s-1950s sewed and mended clothes and other household items by hand and on sewing machines. The heritage textile items created are now sought after at an annual linen sale, sponsored by Methodist Social Services.
