This photograph shows a bustling street scene on Main Street West. The advertisement for the Convent Carnival dates this to sometime in 1905 - the carnival itself took place in early November. A crowd has gathered outside Childs Commercial Hotel and the clothes worn by the women are an interesting example of the less constricting fashions of the early 1900s.
