Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 13 June 1961 "Furniture, household fittings and personal effects are seen hurriedly placed out of the way of the fire in front of Mr. C.M.A. Kebbell's two-storey home near Ashhurst which was badly damaged by fire yesterday. Willing neighbours and firemen saves as much as possible from the interior until the heat of the flames forced them to retire."
